APPARATUS USED
1. OPTICAL BENCH
1. It consists of two metallic rods (one rod is engraved in mms) overall length 160 cms , Scale length 150 cms. supported by heavy cast iron feet, provided with 4 metal riders -2 of these provided with fine cross motion & w/o motion.
2. All the 4 sliders are fitted with hollow pillars with accessories (i) Lens Holder - 2 nos. (Ii) Needles - 2 nos
3. FULL Shapered 4 sliders i.e the upper & lowers ides are machine shapered for smooth moment on the double rods and having two screws for rigit support on rods works as strong clamping when tightened
2. Biprism set up
Nodal Slide Assembly P-689 Consists of following app.:-
(I) Mirror : Plain, inclinable with 3” steel stand
(ii) Nodal Upright : consists combination of single & double lens holders on a mount rotating along the vertical axis, adjustable in height & can either be moved together by rack & pinion or relative to each other by sliding. These motions can be read by individual pointers on a mm scale.
(Iii) Optical Slit : cross slit, one surface white & the other clack, with 3” steel stem.
(Iv) Lamp house : en electric bulb 60 W 220V AC is encased in a metal case with cord & shoe.
